It’s not often that I find myself rooting for Fox. They occasionally get something right. Sometimes even the First Amendment.

I’m disappointed that I have not heard of this before: a bacon-flavored product that is safe for our friends who keep kosher!
“BaconSalt is a zero calorie, zero fat, vegetarian and kosher seasoning that makes everything taste like bacon.”
Which also means that this is a very frightening product, since it is therefore necessarily not a pig-based product and the flavor stems from something chemical-ly. Still, if too much salt is bad for you, and too much bacon is bad for you, then they must cancel each other out, leaving behind only salty, bacon-y goodness, right?
I gotta find some of this stuff and give it a try.

Analysts: Powell endorsement more a rejection of GOP, McCain - CNN.com
OK, we go off to discussing other things now.

Election year politics. Can we keep it reasonably civil? Are we ready to discuss?
This site has a pretty interesting summary of polling data for Election ‘08: America Quits Trying Hard(tm). According to them, the data indicates that Obama wins in what’s starting to look landslide-ish. FLA just moved from neutral/leaning McCain to weak-Obama, and Nevada is in the same situation. McCain only needs to flip a couple of states, but based on his debate performance the other night, that’s not looking very likely.
I thank my blessed stars every day that we achieved campaign finance reform a few years ago. Otherwise, this election might be competitive. Petard, consider yourself hoisted.
