Pretty interesting. I’d never heard of this “movement” before, thought I’d share. If I didn’t have about half a dozen projects pending in the shop right now, I’d be all over this. I can’t see this guy’s work without completely being transported back to The Diamond Age. It would all fit in there perfectly. Here’s a sample (I like the keyboard best):

Interesting interview with the intriguiging and weird filmmaker. The article is kind of a PITA to read because it’s 17 pages long and you can’t print the whole thing, but it’s worth the effort.
Can you imagine if he were interviewing Hillary on the Interrotron what he would get out of it? Then again, you’d probably have to give her a near-lethal dose of sodium pentathol to get her to speak the truth. If she even knows what truth is anymore.
Florida has a new specialty license plate that is sure to run into ACLU-generated entanglements. The plate has gotten through committee easily so far, but sponsors of other plates have been met with disappointment. Zack de la Rocha lamented that his “Rage Against the Machine” plate, featuring a “Fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me” logo has been once again rejected.

Hoosiers, enjoy your 15 minutes of primary season silliness fame:

This guy needs more coffee:

What would be the appropriate song to play when the moving trucks roll out of Seattle? My vote: “Rape Me” by Nirvana.
Interesting post of same title. I mostly agree with the sentiment. I could care less about Oasis “selling out,” those guys didn’t have any soul to begin with. I don’t even care about Zep letting Cadillac license their stuff. The one that really set me off was when the Stones licensed “Start Me Up” to Microsoft for the Win98 rollout campaign. Not that the Stones were ever steely-eyed standards of artistic integrity, really (if you disagree with me, explain, please, “Miss You”).
There are a few songs that can still hold up even after they’ve been commercialized to death. I still like Five for Fighting’s “100 Years” despite the fact that Chase tried to kill it.
Thoughts?

We might need caption bubbles for all those involved…
