High Stakes Poker on GSN

Filed under: Teh Pokers — Stevo @ 5:06 pm

Is anyone watching this season? They are now doing it with a $500k buyin. This is up from season’s past where it has been $100k. It is freaking insane. I’ll say one thing tho, my appreciation for Doyle Brunson just grows and grows. It sounds trite, but he reads hands like they are face up. It is eerie just how good his reads are. I don’t care how old he is, in that game (or any NLHE cash game) he’s my guy.

…deserved more air time.

Also, I made my garage door gay today. I decided I’d insulate it (it is one of the cheapo metal shell types), so I bought some 1/2″ foam board and cut it into pieces to insert into each panel. The project is going great when I realize that all this hot pink foam board is really bright when you cover a large area with it.

Result: door is quieter, area should be warmer, one “wall” inside my garage is now much brighter in not a good way. Score one for the environment.

So You Think You’re One Hot-Ass Throttle Jockey?

Filed under: Uncategorized — cipher @ 2:03 pm

Only you can end forest fires — at least virtually — as the pilot of a Canadair 415 Waterbomber, the coolest airplane made in Canada. The instructions are in Franch, so here goes: up/down arrow keys control altitude (in reverse, a/k/a down = up), left/right arrow keys control throttle. Speed in the redzone means you fall from the sky and go splat. Speed in bluezone means you can refill the Waterbomber by skimming the lake — but be careful because if you get too low, you’ll capsize the plane. Release the water over the forest fire by holding down the spacebar. Watch out for flying flocks of Franch-speaking birds and also the trees seem to shoot AAA because if you fly too close to them without actually hitting them, down you’ll still go. If you crash in level 2, you get to restart at level 1. Because they’re French and Canadian, and if their flappy heads and inability to say words like “out” and “about” properly weren’t enough to intrigue and annoy you, this game will. Ca va?
