Caption Contest!

I’ll start with the obvious, but we can surely do better: “I know it was you, Ray — you broke my heart — you broke my heart!” Maybe the president will take Ray fishing next?

Crouch FTW!

Antigua is now piling on their WTO grievances re: US withdrawl of GATS commitments for gambing and betting services. Open markets are good, right Mr. President?

Don’t Fold a Made Nine

Filed under: Uncategorized — cipher @ 11:21 pm

There’s a general rule in deuce-to-seven triple draw lowball (a/k/a the sport of kings) that you don’t draw to a made nine that’s dealt to you. You would rarely draw to a made nine under any circumstances, but that’s not germane to this hand. Anyhoo, here’s why you just play that made nine out to the very end, especially against a guy you’ve been pushing around all night who suspects you’re raising with nothing. Muahahahaha! (more…)

Almost As Good As The Brown Noise

Filed under: Uncategorized — cipher @ 8:03 am

I present to you the BarfBeam, a flashlight that in prototype testing causes disorientation, nausea and even vomiting among subjects when the light is pointed at the subject.

I just wish we’d had one of these during lineup.

My Apologies

I’d like to publicly apologize. The first time I saw it, I did not appreciate the brilliance that is Anchorman, but it’s much better on repeat viewings. Favorite quote?
